I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, the second child of six. As a young boy, we traveled extensively with my father who was a diplomat. Our travels allowed me to see the world, and experience culture that, to this day, has left me with memories that still inspire my art.

I was fortunate to live in Rome during my childhood and was able to experience the centuries of art, culture and history of Italy. I was, and still am, drawn to the beautiful cathedrals and religious art that seems to be imbedded in everyday life in much of Europe. As a child and as an adult, I continued to be inspired by the art and history that can be found in France and, of course Italy. Over the course of my travels I have picked up several languages. My native language is Spanish, but I also speak Italian, French, English, and Papiamento. I find my inspiration comes from all the places I have visited. I feel a very spiritual connection to all my paintings and often have trouble parting with them.

I have spent many vacations in Aruba and have family living on the island. It continues to be a special place for me, and I think my love for this beautiful tropical island is one of the inspirations for the bright vibrant colors in my art. You can see my love for the beach in several of my paintings. In fact, there is one that holds an incredibly special memory. It is of me and my cousins fishing at the beach. Can you figure out which one it is?

I started painting when I was young but have only recently begun focusing full time on my art. I was educated as a young man in England as well as Caracas. I was a partner in a successful architectural design firm based in Caracas. My firm worked on projects in South America and the Southern Caribbean. While I still do some consulting for friends, my passion is, and always has been, my art!

I began exhibiting my works years ago and sold out my first exhibit in Caracas.  I have had several exhibits in Europe, the United States, Venezuela, and Aruba.  I continue to paint for family and friends and through word of mouth my paintings have sold to individual collectors located in Spain, Italy, Portugal, the United States, Aruba and, of course, Venezuela.   You may even find some of my paintings in small galleries or commercial and public properties.

I am extremely excited to begin my full time focus on my art.  I am looking forward to participating in many more shows, and plan to be exhibiting and selling my art in Art Shows and Festivals in the United States and Spain.  Of course, we need for everyone to be safe and healthy, so I will be waiting until these events safely open.  Until then, I hope you will enjoy the art that I have made available on my website.  I will be adding more originals and prints over the coming months.  Remember, if you buy one of my paintings or prints, I love to see them displayed, so please do not forget to send me a picture!

Until I can start meeting everyone in person, I will be painting, painting and painting.

God Bless and Big Hugs!
